U.S. jeweler Harry Winston has announced the opening of its first retail location in China's Nanjing, taking the high-end jeweler's store count to seven in the nation.

Located inside the Deji Plaza, a luxury shopping spot in Xinjiekou, the 213-square-meter salon will house Harry Winston's jewelry and timepiece collections, including fine diamonds and rare gemstones.

Designed to resemble a "private estate", the salon boasts a contemporary ground level space, with Harry Winston's signature navy blue and gold façade, giving access from inside the emporium. The interior evokes the house's soft grey color palette and serves to complement the custom-designed lacquer, antique bronze furniture, and bespoke crystal chandeliers, along with the New York company's signature black and white starburst motif.

Dedicated galleries highlight the jeweler's one-of-a-kind high jewelry and wedding day jewels.

In honor of the Nanjing opening, the new store also displays a custom work of art that blends signature elements of the house with the culture of Nanjing. The illustration shows two lion statues adorned in gold before the iconic Winston gates, surrounded by plum blossoms, alongside birds in flight.
